If you were about eight years old in 1984, then boy, do we have a video for you. This Japanese animation from last Christmas, recently uncovered and making the viral rounds, sees the robots of the Transformers 80s cartoons series receiving a directive to “Dance The MJ’s [sic] Thriller Dance” and then (about 1:20 of the way in) proceeding to do just that, in an impressive shot-for-shot recreation of Michael Jackson’s signature video dance. “Autobot swag,” as the NY Mag Vulture page so succinctly puts it.
