The Popdust Files: Beastie Boys, Trailer

If you can stand more Beastie Boys-related excitement and anticipation after yesterday’s leak of “Make Some Noise,” the first single off the upcoming Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 2, then you also might want to take a gander at the just-leaked trailer to Fight for Your Right (Revisited), the BBoys’ upcoming thirty-minute comedy short. The plot of the film, if there even is one, appears to center around the future Beasties coming back to 1986 to school the rap trio on freshness and beer-drinking, in time for them to shoot the “Fight” video. But that’s a lot of conjecture based on a trailer far more focused on anarchy and big-name cameos (Seth Rogen, Will Ferrell, Danny McBride, countless others) than comprehensiveness. Regardless, it’s some pretty funny shit.
