Nick Jonas Gives Eliminated “Idol” Contestant A Small Victory

During Wednesday’s episode of American Idol, MySpace-sourced hopeful Karen Rodriguez talked about how her biggest goal for the show (that didn’t involve winning) was actually something for her sister—she wanted to meet Nick Jonas for the benefit of her sister, who was a gigantic fan of the youngest Jonas Brother. Well, things didn’t go so well for Karen last week, and she got voted off the show both by America and by the judges, who sent her packing after she sang “Hero” by Mariah Carey. But her consolation prize came this morning on Ryan Seacrest, when Nick dropped by the show to say hey. And the assembled group gave her sister a ring! Watch the whole thing unfold, from Nick’s creeping in to Karen’s sister’s exclamation of her Twitter handle, below.
“I fulfilled my purpose, now I got eliminated. Great,” Karen said when all was said and done. Someone’s a little bitter! Although I would be too if I had to go through the whole Idol rigamarole and didn’t make the tour…
