The Popdust Files: Beef, Dave Grohl, glee, Glee Cast, kings of leon, Ryan Murphy, Slash

Remember those beefs that Kings of Leon and Slash had with Glee creator Ryan Murphy earlier this year? Well, Foo Fighters singer/guitarist/drummer/roadie Dave Grohl apparently wants in as well. During a recent interview with the Hollywood Reporter following the Foos’ premiering of their new documentary Back and Forth at the South by Southwest festival, Grohl sounded off about the show and Murphy specifically, claiming he wants his music to play no part in the Glee hype machine.

“It’s every band’s right, you shouldn’t have to do f—ing Glee,” said Grohl. “And then the guy who created Glee is so offended that we’re not, like, begging to be on his f—ing show… f— that guy for thinking anybody and everybody should want to do Glee.” Grohl claimed to have seen about ten minutes of the show before (“It’s not my thing”), but says that his problem is less with Glee itself than with its creator. “The Glee guy, what a f—ing jerk,” ranted Grohl, going on to relate the problems Murphy had with Slash and KoL to bandmate Taylor Hawkins. “It’s just like, Dude, maybe not everyone loves Glee. Me included.”

Does this mean we won’t be getting a full episode based around Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace next season? Whatta bummer.
