Lady Gaga And Lady Maria of Winnipeg Raise Their Voices

Last night at Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball show in Toronto, she invited 10-year-old Maria Aragon, she of the fast-fashion YouTube cover of “Born This Way” that lit up the Internet almost immediately after the song’s release. The two of them collaborated on “Born This Way” and it was pretty cute! Aragon played piano and sang while sitting on Gaga’s lap, which must not have been all that nerve-wracking at all.
Gaga subsequently dubbed the young singer “Lady Maria of Winnipeg,” which is a name that will probably stick, for better or worse. Is Gaga’s rampant repressed Catholicism going to result in her coming up with an entire taxonomy of saints while she’s on tour? They’ll be brought into the hierarchy by wearing each others’ t-shirts!
