Last night, Jimmy Fallon and ?uestlove unleashed the latest in their ongoing segment, “Remix the Clips,” where the multitasking drummer/turntablist makes funky mincemeat of YouTube clips of kids getting kicked in the balls. But this week was extra special, as the gifted rhythm machine essentially remixed the zeitgeist: chopping up a pastiche of Charlie Sheen’s many, many bonkers rants.
His beat of choice was turning Sheen’s “duh” into an Aaliyah/Timbaland-style R&B banger with a little hyperkinetic “winning-winning-winning” club jam to finish it off. The meme may already be moldy, but Quest’s take is certainly more entertaining than Sheen doing dubstep, Sheen dueting with DJ Khaled, or Sheen dueting with techno crew Eclectic Method.
