will.i.am Gets A Dirty Bit Of Cell Reception In Dallas

Last week, will.i.am announced to the world that he was planning on sending out a tweet or two during the Black Eyed Peas’ Super Bowl XLV halftime show, so when he failed to bring out his phone to “[use] his mobile phone like a mic to reach more people” during last night’s Hackers-inspired medley of Peas hits, I was a bit surprised. As it turns out, the oft-available corporate spokesperson doesn’t get on a better AT&T network than everyone else just because of his willingness to shill:
Yes, will’s plan to show the audience at home how to be rude to a billion people at once was muffed by lousy reception at Cowboys Stadium. Divine intervention or corporate nightmare? In any event, things got sorted in time for him to share a picture of himself with MC Hammer. Whew!
