Justin Bieber’s Time For Change Is Approaching

Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never opens a week from this Friday, and his promotional-tour extravaganza is beginning—this morning he was on Today with Matt Lauer, who after complimenting his musical chops and talking about how it’s hard to be a celebrity out there asked the tough question: Is the Canadian heartthrob’s voice—gasp!—deepening? “My voice is definitely changing gradually—it’s definitely lower than it was the last time I was with you, right?” Bieber said. Lauer demurred, and Bieber continued: “Everybody’s voice changes, and it’s just how you go through it. There’s a lot of people who have gone through it gradually, and there’s some people who haven’t. But I have a great vocal coach.” Before the segment could turn into one of those educational films that kids get gender-segregated to watch in third grade, though, he very abruptly changed the topic to the awesomeness of 3-D—which just happens to be the expensive way kids can watch Never Say Never. Check out the interview below.
After eating some pancakes and chatting with Ryan Seacrest, Bieber’ll be back on Today for the Hoda & Kathie Lee hour, which starts at 10. Hey, ladies, don’t let his changing voice fool you into thinking you can give him wine!
