Justin Bieber: Tween-Tested, Father-Approved

Today Ryan Seacrest posted a clip from Justin Bieber’s Never Say Never—the coming flick that will allow the world to see that hair in glorious 3-d!—and one castmember stood out: A dad sporting a homemade Bieber-glorifying t-shirt who was bequeathed with tickets by the Canadian moppet’s manager, Scooter Braun. You might think that this father, whose devotion to the singer is so strong that he took Sharpie to white cotton, is a member of a rare breed, but actually, there are tons of dads who are into the Biebs. And some of them have even taken their devotion to YouTube. Here are five fathers who were not afraid to let the world know that they know all the words to “Baby.” (Or at least its chorus.)
This dad’s video won a radio-station-sponsored contest for front-row seats to a Bieber show, although the assist he gets at the end from his daughter—and his overreliance on recreating Ludacris’ rap—is enough to make me call foul.
However, the dog who makes a cameo in this clip? Almost adorable enough to take my attention away from the dad’s awful singing.
“its really funny but hes not the best singer,” writes the youngster who posted this clip of her father. Also, the camera angle is terrifying!
This guy’s falsetto is pretty impressive. (Wonder if he’s in a doo-wop group on the side?) His flow on Ludacris’ verses isn’t that bad, either.
And this clip shows you just how hard it is to coordinate choreography and on-the-beat singing. Is this father secretly trying to justify Justin’s fame? Well, even if he isn’t, his plan worked!
